Talladega County First Family Service Center

- This organization helps individual’s access services that are needed. Prescription Drug Expense Assistance, Comprehensive Information and Referral, and Job Readiness and Training are on site. Parenting Education, Personal Finances, Budget and Debt Counseling workshops, or emergency Housing and Rent Payment Assistance are also offered.

Community Action Agency of Talladega

- Help with utility bills is available for low income residents, working poor, and the unemployed. Conservation programs and job readiness training is available.

Vocational Rehabilitation Services

- Serves children and teens from birth to 21 that have special health-care needs. Staff members work closely with local school systems to enable children with disabilities to participate fully in school.

Care House

- Care House is a non-profit organization that helps low-income families with food & clothes.

Samaritan House

- Residents is matched with a case manager who helps him/her navigate our 120-day Levels Program. Each resident commits to goals that will help them obtain stable income and housing.

United Way of North Talladega County

- United Way is a volunteer organization that improves the overall quality of life of individuals and families by reviewing and aiding programs and services that help advance education, income stability, and healthy living.

Salvation Army Community Corp Center

- Provides various social services and emergency assistance. The charity partners with agencies across Talladega County to coordinate resources.

- Provides food to food-insecure children.

Cheaha Mental Health

- CRMHC provides services for individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness and substance abuse. Fees may be charged for some services but, many qualify for a reduced fees based upon their income. Insurance may be billed for eligible services.

Amelia Center

- This center provides grief counseling to parents, families, children, teenagers, and young adults.

Boys and Girls Clubs

- This organization helps with homework, improves leadership skills, and participation in athletics. Hours and fees vary depending on events.

Palmer Place

- This is a child/teen advocacy center that provides a wide range of services to abused children/teenagers.

Sarrell Regional Dental and Eye Center

- Dental care for children that have Medicaid or BCBS ALLKIDS. Health care services are provided for free or for a small co-pay. Also, children can receive two free cleanings and exams per calendar year.
